Outdoors with Stella and A Little Moonshine...

It was a full moon last night...

So I thought I'd drink in the Moonshine and...

wish upon stars for Stella
to find her pawfect furever home soon!

I have been spotlighting Stella all week for
Mayzie's Rescue Me Week
that she is hosting and sponsoring
in honor and memory of
her Grampa J.

Stella currently resides and is being cared for
at my shelter, The Humane Society of Sarasota County.
I can't believe she has been there so long!
Of course I was there a long time too.
Sometimes it takes a while to find your
pawfect furever home.

During my pawrents visit with her,
they spent some time with her and Patty
(who works at the shelter)
outside on the shelter grounds...

Isn't she beautiful?!!! :D
This gal is not only gorgeous on the outside
but inside too! Full of smiles and kisses...

that will bring Sunshine into her
furever home every day! :)

She enjoys exploring...

And would have such a good time
going on walkies and adventures with her
furever pawrents!

She is a very strong gal and forgets
sometimes that some peeps don't walk too fast.
Mom, would be a point in case ;)
So, to prevent her from choking on her collar
and to make walkies more enjoyable for her pawrents,
a Sporn Halter could be helpful.

I'm very strong too and sometimes forget about Mom's
short legs BOL ;) So I wear one on our walkies too.
(Note: Stella has some muzzle sensitivities so a
Gentle Leader type option, though pawfect for some,
probably would not be best for her.)

Because of her strength, the Sarasota Humane Society
also says that the best home environment for her would
be one that if there are children, they be twelve years
of age or older. Us strong doggies don't always
realize how strong we are and can unwittingly bowl
over those smaller than us.
They made the same recommendation for my
furever home and my pawrents thought that was
a very smart thing to do! ;)
Yeah I can be a pretty wild a crazy guy!
Makes me all that more loveable my pawrents say :D

So pawlease keep Stella in your thoughts.
If you don't have the pawfect furever home for her,
you may know someone who does!

Stay tuned for more Stella...
tomorrow :)

Waggin at ya,
Roo

  3. Hey Roo!
Wow, moonshine...I get it! It sure is bright out at night and very pretty. I am really crossing my paws tight that sweet Stella gets adopted soon. If I were just a little better with other pooches...oh well. I'm stuck being an onlydog. Great work spotlighting her.

  9. Stella IS a star, that's for sure! I just luvs her soooo much! I'm so very ready for somebuddy to look at her and say, "THAT'S the doggie I've been waiting for!"

Oh, and I pull hard, too! I tell mom I'm just helping her with her workout...heehee! But she doesn't seem to appreciates my assistance. So I wear a Sense-ation harness and it helps me to remember to take it easy on mom.

I'm gonna miss Stella after tomorrow's postie. You'll keep us updated on her, though, won't you?
