Toony Roo Part 4: The Conclusion

So after leaving the forest, Alien transported all of us to Istanbul, Turkey.
Where he knew Evil Freddy had escaped to and had hidden the evil turkeys.

He said Evil Freddy's hideout was a castle on a hill by the sea.
This is where he will drop us off and we will execute our plan
to capture the turkeys and if we get lucky, Evil Freddy too.

video

As soon as Alien gave us the signal that the invisible net was in place,
we took our places on the battle field and went to work.

None of us were herding dogs so we had to wing it.
Each of us devised our own turkey herding technique on the fly...

After a terrific team effort, we had them all in the net zone.
And as luck would have it, Evil Freddy was in it too.
Unwittingly, he found himself there as he was trying to shoo the turkeys out.

Alien was waiting high in the sky out of site. And as soon as
Pip sent him the GO signal, he zoomed on in and...

video

Alien took them away to his planet Hicbar where he had a
De-Evilizer Ray that he hoped would turn the evil turkeys
back in to good turkeys...

video

Alien was happy. The De-Evilizer Ray was a success!
All the turkeys were good turkeys again.
It had an odd effect on Evil Freddy. He became a turkey.

Alien transported all the good turkeys back to earth in time for Thanksgiving.
Alien wasn't sure what to do with that Turkey/Evil Freddy.
I offered to take him home to Mom and she could figure something out.
We said our farewells to Alien and
myself, Pip and Mango all headed for home. Our jobs done.

Alien did send Turkey/Evil Freddy home with me.
I gave him to Mom and well she...

Toony Roo Part 3: The Battle

Upon hearing Pip's excellent plan, Mango and I set about preparing
for the assault against the gnomes and Evil Freddie.

Here's The Plan...
Mango is to sneak into the gnome village and employ his
massiveness to crush the nasty gnomes to bits.
Meanwhile, Pip and I are going to work on destroying the
the poisonous mushrooms by burying them deep below the forest floor.

We decided that the best time for our attack would be mid morning
when the gnomes take a break from their toils and gather at the village
for play and socializing.

We were all starving. So before putting The Plan in motion,
I asked Mom to send us some breakfast...

video

Fortified we split up. Pip and I headed off to the mushroom field and
Mango toward the gnome village.

Right on schedule Mango commenced his attack...

It was agreed that after accomplishing our missions,
we would meet back up at our clearing in the forest.

Pip and I arrived first, very dirty but pleased. We'd buried
all of the mushrooms six feet under.

As time passed we began to worry about Mango.
But then we heard some rustling in the bushes and
out he burst with a big grin on his face.

He said, "Mango do good. Gnomes no more."

We asked if he'd seen Evil Freddie.
He shook his head but said if he was in the village,
he was no more too.
We all silently hoped that he had been there.

Next, we sent out a message to Alien letting him know
that the gnomes had been vanquished and we were
ready to help him with the turkeys.

Alien sent a message back that he would come and get us
in a few hours. So, we settled in for a well deserved nap.

Toony Roo Part 2: Gnomeville

After turnin me into a Toon yesterday Mom explained that
it was cheaper to send me as a Toon to help my furiends than
to send the real me. I'm wonderin if Mom's too frugal for my own good.

Anyway, that bein understood. She sent me off to Gnomeville to do some
reconnaissance of what Evil Freddie and his gang of gnomes have been up to
in their quest to capture all of the turkeys and ruin Thanksgiving...

video

It appears their plan is to attack us good guys with poisonous mushrooms in
order to incapacitate us while they complete their diabolical turkey trap.

I saw Evil Freddie with the gnomes revelin in his perceived success...

video

After completin my reconnaissance, I determined that I needed help.
I asked Mom to ask Mango and Pip to join me in battle.

video

Well it appears Mom chose to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. So,
after explainin to Mango and Pip where they were and why. We put our
heads together to come up with a plan...

It started at 4:45PM

I couldn't believe my eyes...

It takes up my whole bowl!

Mom says it's a shank cut with a lot of bone marrow in it.
Hmmm...never had one of these before. Smells good.

Takin it out to the pad reserved for only the choicest RMBs...

Let the feast begin!

Now as you can tell, I'm quite busy so I've turned the rest of the story tellin over to Mom.

Mom here.
Roo gets fed dinner before we do. This way he's not so interested in what we're having ;)
And normally, his dining experience lasts from about 15 minutes to 45 minutes max.

Well, after about half an hour we cranked up the BBQ.
Our dinner is ready. It's about 6PM now. Roo's not done.
So, we bring out the TV trays and eat our dinner while he works on his. (We always supervise his meals.)
It's 6:30PM and we're done. Roo's not.
7PM we bring out our dessert.
7:30PM Roo's panting BOL
We tell him that we can put up what's left and he can have it tomorrow.
We are ignored.

Roo chiming in, "Mom's does some silly things but even she wouldn't try and take it from me."

Mom back again.
So, it's dark and cold out now. We want to go inside. Roo's not done.

8 o'clock he finally finishes.
That's THREE count em' THREE flippin hours he worked on that bone!
Guess he liked it BOL :)

Note to self: Do not give Roo another one of these unless you have 3 hours of which to do nothing but sit around. Shaking my head. Something else :)

Thinkin I might not get another one of these again for a while :(

About The Other Dogs At The Dog Park

As part of my big day celebration,
I got to spend 2 hours at the dog park. That's twice as long as usual :)
And like last time, I spent most of it focused on squirrels :)

And so you don't think I'm just imagining them...

That's one of my little buddies right there :)

Occasionally I would take a break and meet some of the other doggies here...

This is Baby Girl...
Pretty little thing about half my size.

She just showed up on her Mom's doorstep one day.
And after unsuccessful attempts to find her prior home,
her Mom, well became her Mom :)
She got the name of Baby Girl because it was the only name she would respond to.

She and I met behind a bush...

while I was taking a short break from squirrel observing :)

Then there was Milo and Lily...

Lily's standing and Milo's laying on the ground exhausted after his
umpteenth zoomie around the park. Milo is faster than a speeding
bullet! Lily's very friendly and came over to say hi to me on one
of my other squirrel breaks...

And last but not least there was Buddy...

I didn't have a chance to meet this guy but Mom told me all about him...

He LOVES his ball...

He made sure EVERYONE had a chance to throw his slobber ball for him...

NOONE turned this lovable big goof down :)

Buddy's part Great Dane and part American Bulldog.
He's at least twice as big as I am. That's big!

Here's his new Chris Cringle type Dad about to throw his slobber ball...

He adopted Buddy after he was taken away from his last family.
The horrible human creature who used to be his Dad took a sledge hammer to his hips one day.
After many vet visits and lots of love he fully recovered from his injuries.
Mom says Karma will take care of that awful human being.
You can tell Buddy just loves his new Dad and his new Dad is just crazy about him :)

Well I finally tuckered myself out to the point where...

I couldn't even stand up to drink out of the water bowl =P

So home I went very tired and happy...

Roo done,
Roo
